Inflation and Consumer Price Index of Sorong Municipality March 2025

In March 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Municipality of 0.18 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.68.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 0.24 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 2.74 percent; health group by 4.57 percent; transportation group by 2.72 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.69 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.00 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.33 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced y-on-y deflation were the clothing and footwear group by 4.44 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.35 percent; information, communication and financial services expenditure group by 0.45 percent; and the education group was 0.36 percent.
