Inflation and Consumer Price Index of Sorong City June 2024

In June 2024, there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Municipality of 0.68 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.89.

y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.17 percent; clothing and footwear group by 3.93 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.44 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.36 percent; health group by 2.21 percent; transportation group by 0.98 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.04 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 4.97 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.89 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 3.20 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced y-on-y deflation occurred because there was a price decline shown by the education expenditure group by 3.27 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Sorong Municipality in June 2024 were 0.63 percent and 1.48 percent, respectively.
