DEVELOPMENT OF CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION CITY OF SECOND DECEMBER 2017 INFLATION 0.18 PERCENT

In December 2017 Kota Sorong experienced an inflation of 0.18 percent with the price index
consumer (CPI) of 128.53. Of the 82 cities Inflation in Indonesia, all experienced inflation. Highest inflation
occurred in Jayapura City that is equal to 2.28 percent with CPI of 131.75 and the lowest Inflation occurred in
Sorong City is 0.18 percent with CPI of 128.53.
 Inflation in Sorong City occurred due to changes in index in groups of goods and services,
namely: foodstuff category -0.06 percent; food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco groups
0.49 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel by0.06 percent; clothing group
of 0.70 percent; health group by 0.26 percent; education, recreation and sports groups
by 0.07 percent and the transport, communication & financial services group by 0.47 percent.
 The inflation rate for calendar year 2017 (December 2017 to December 2016) in Sorong is 1.33
percent and year-on-year inflation rate (December 2017 to December 2016) in Sorong City
1.33 percent.
