Sorong, (1 October) — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Sorong Municipality released the latest developments in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and inflation in Sorong Municipality for September 2026, as well as the Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) for August 2026. Inflation data were calculated based on the results of the Consumer Price Survey (SHK) conducted by BPS of Sorong Municipality in September 2026. Meanwhile, tourism indicators were obtained from the VHTS Survey, covering a sample of 34 hotels in Sorong Municipality.

The Acting Head of BPS of Sorong Municipality and Head of the General Subdivision of BPS of Sorong Municipality, Tri Rotua Maulina Siagian, stated that in September 2026, Sorong Municipality recorded monthly inflation, or month-to-month (m-to-m), of 1.11 percent. On a yearly basis, or year-on-year (y-on-y), inflation stood at 5.47 percent, while calendar-year inflation, or year-to-date (y-to-d), reached 4.68 percent.

“In September 2026, Sorong Municipality recorded month-to-month inflation of 1.11 percent, year-on-year inflation of 5.47 percent, and calendar-year inflation of 4.68 percent,” said Tri Rotua Maulina Siagian.
